10. PAMI- How to Play Tremolo on Classical Guitar (technique lesson)

http://www.ClassicalGuitarShed.com This video goes in-depth into the tremolo (pami) for classical guitar. This pattern is very commonly played poorly, so hopefully this will help you to play it with even tempo, balance, and grace.

First, review the basic concepts of movement and alignment here: http://www.ClassicalGuitarShed.com/basics

For the full article on this pattern, go to:
http://www.classicalguitarshed.com/pami-arpeggio-pattern-tremelo/

P=thumb
I=index finger (pointer)
M=middle finger
A=ring (or fourth) finger

For PAMI
P plays, A preps
A plays, M and I prep (I is out, but not on string)
M plays, I preps
I plays, P preps
repeat.

Remember, one step at a time. Master each of the 4 steps above as it's own, crisp movement. Make sure your middle knuckles move in toward the guitar when you play (instead of bicycling).

Watch out for the common mistakes people make on these:

Good luck!
