Nuclear Missile SILO opened after 60 years sealed before reconstruction

This is a movie showing the original silo as found 60 years after it was sealed up and before re-construction was started. Will follow with what the first silo looks like today shortly...

Ok people, this is an ATLAS F missile site. And to settle debate, ATLAS F sites were vertical and were raised straight up out of the ground to fire. Other variants, like Peacekeeper, laid flat and horizontal then were raised to fire, it was known more as a rail variant than a silo variant however (I mislabeled it a Titan earlier).

the SECOND site placed under full reconstruction. The first site, Site 11 has been completed and is 100% operational. THIS video shows the site BEFORE ANY reconstruction started.. basically what we had to start with.

As team lead for the tactical security defense team that patrols these sites, I was responsible for the entire perimeter security design, layout and implementation as well as putting together the full time tactical team, armored vehicles and armories on the site.

BTW the fully completed site was featured on a controlled video and cable show from the Discovery Channel called 'America Declassified' which you can watch on their site. We allowed filming as long as areas and capabilities that were classified were not shown or filmed, including the faces, names and identities of the tactical team. The only member fully shown is one of my team inside the dome and myself in the command center briefly.
