5 comets in the sky at the same time! November 2021. Comet Leonard, Churyumov–Gerasimenko

C/2021 A1 (Leonard), 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, 29P/Schwassmann–Wachmann, C/2019 L3 (ATLAS) and 4P/Faye - these are 5 comets that can be observed in the night sky at the same time in November and December 2021! For observation, you need a telescope or a camera with a telephoto lens. In early December, comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) should be perfectly visible through even small binoculars - there is also a small chance that it will be visible to the naked eye! Comet 67P / Churyumov – Gerasimenko can already be observed through large binoculars! On its surface are the Philae lander (no longer operational) and the remains of the Rosetta spacecraft! Another interesting comet is 29P / Schwassmann – Wachmann - under normal conditions it is hardly visible (16 mag), but there are frequent explosions on its surface. The ejected dust reflects sunlight, making the comet brighter (up to 10.5 mag!). Such an event took place quite recently, so in November it is worth looking at this comet to see how it is changing!

I shot the movie with a Sony A7S III camera with a Samyang 24mm lens. The pictures of comets shown in the film were taken with the Sony A6400 camera and the Samyang 135mm lens. It's a quite small telephoto lens, so I had to crop the comet pictures.

I took the photos on October 31 and November 1, 2021 in Poland.
