RANCH SORTING PRACTICE

We're going to have a ranch sorting practice at my training
facility (Sliding J Ranch) on Friday evening, June 28th.

The practice will start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.

Riders of all levels are welcome... including beginners.
No partner needed (plenty of riders here to partner with).

I minute, 15 second clock.

Entry fee: $25 for the night (maximum of 5 runs).

Spectators welcome or bring your horse and hang out.

RANCH SORTING CLINIC

We'll do a half-day clinic on Saturday morning June 29th.
The clinic will start at 8:00 AM and end at 12 noon.
Covered arena available if the weather is hot.

Riders of all levels are welcome to participate. Beginners
as well as experienced riders.

Both Sliding J trainers, Larry Trocha and Jenny Sherbo will
be doing the instructing. Participants will receive individual
attention.

Here's what you'll learn:

1. How to improve your horse's stop.
2. How to improve your horse's rollback and turn.
3. How to control cattle.
4. How to make a cow turn away from you and go to the gate.
5. How to cleanly separate the cow you want from the herd.
6. The job of the sorter and how to do it well.
7. The job of the gate man and how to do it well.
8. Strategies for achieving a faster time.

Clinic fee: $100

If needed, overnight stalls are available at $25 per night.
(bring your own hay).
