Our Dog Gets A Wheelchair!

Our 11-year-old German Shepherd Dog Jackson has arthritis in his back legs. He began limping a little bit last summer, and then this fall it got worse. The vet gave us non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication and glucosamine pills which do help, as does acupuncture, but he can't walk and run the way he used to. And he LOVES to walk and run!

We use a fabric lifter (which you can see in this video) to help him along as he walks and that's good for short distances, but we wanted to find a way for him to go around the block like he used to. So....we started googling wheelchairs for dogs! That's when we found this Walkin' Pets device and this video shows us setting it up and his first few steps ; )

We're hoping he gets used to it and can get back into a routine of going around the block. We'll keep you posted!
