Nyikum Tanyi | Cvgar Dogar Garnam-2 (Nyishi) I Struggle for Humanity & the Union of Earth and Sky
Continuing from the Nyishi Genesis Story, existence unfolds across three realms.
Above the Earth lies Donyi Hint Namchi — the celestial realm where divine presences such as Poyu and Nyayu reside.
The Earth itself is known as Jwngma Hint Namchi, protected by Jwngma Hint Aane.
Beneath the Earth exists Dul Hint Namchi, guarded by Dug Loyi.
Within the earthly realm emerges a profound conflict.
On one side stands Nyayu Tanyi — the lone force of goodness, harmony, and human continuity. Opposing him is Poyu Tanyi, who creates countless destructive beings known as the Gangda Uyu Team or Opo Uyu — entities without heart, blood, or human essence, existing only as forces of disorder and destruction.
Thus begins the first struggle for the Earth.
Though alone, Nyayu Tanyi is never abandoned, for nature itself stands beside him. When the Opo Uyu demand that he leave the Earth and return to Aane Donyi, Nyayu Tanyi seeks guidance from the divine mother. Aane Donyi declares that humanity must remain upon the Earth, and that Nyayu Tanyi must protect and sustain life for generations yet to come.
To restore balance, divine forces are created — guardians of harvest, knowledge, spirituality, brotherhood, health, and prosperity.
Yet protection alone is not enough.Humanity must continue.
Thus, Aane Donyi sends Chwngtum Tamw to Earth. Through divine intervention, she and Nyayu Tanyi unite, giving birth to Nyikum Tanyi — the ancestral figure whose journey becomes the struggle for the future of humankind itself.
As Nyikum Tanyi grows, the Opo Uyu again threaten the Earth, claiming that one human alone can never withstand the countless forces of darkness. But Nyikum Tanyi refuses to surrender, declaring that beings without heart or blood have no rightful place upon the Earth.
Yet another realization emerges:
Humanity cannot survive through existence alone. It must multiply, evolve, and learn.
Thus begins Nyikum Tanyi’s long and painful search for the continuation of humankind.
Across forests, rivers, mountains, islands, lakes, and even the depths beneath the ocean, Nyikum Tanyi journeys in search of companionship and the continuation of humanity.
Yet each union brings forth children who reflect incomplete forms of existence.
From the woman of the jungle are born Nyibang Harang and Nyichang Tahi, who remain distant from the guidance of their father.
From another union come Takin and Tarin, consumed only by hunting and violence.
From Nyob is born Nyobu Yachum, small in form.
From the waters emerge Midu and Mir, physically incomplete.
From the island is born Nyibu Rupche, diminutive in stature.
From the mountains come Nyir Dumbang, bearing multiple heads, and Nyima Swrka, with unnaturally extended limbs.
Thus, the story presents not merely unusual children, but many unstable possibilities of existence itself.
Within the Nyishi worldview, humanity does not emerge instantly in perfected form. It is shaped gradually — through trial, suffering, adaptation, failure, and learning.
Yet these journeys also bring knowledge.
From Dug Aane beneath the ocean come the divisions of time into seasons, along with the wisdom of harvesting and agriculture. Their children, appearing in the form of birds such as Dwko Popu and Dvbv Dete, become messengers of seasonal change — guiding humanity through the rhythms of cultivation and survival.
Still, Nyikum Tanyi continues searching.
For the struggle is no longer simply for survival, but for the emergence of a balanced human society.
In time, his parents — Nyayu Tanyi and Chwngtum Aane — ascend from Earth to the celestial realm to seek the hand of Twn Hama, daughter of Nyido Tamo and Doa Aane.
Their union establishes something far greater than marriage.
It creates the sacred relationship between Earth (Jwngma Hint Namchi) and Sky (Donyi Hint Namchi).
Thus, the story is not simply about ancestry.
It is about the gradual formation of humanity itself — through struggle, failure, learning, nature, and divine alignment.
Within the Nyishi worldview, human civilization is not seen as accidental.
It is the result of a long cosmic process seeking balance between the earthly, the natural, and the spiritual.
Through TM Essence, this is offered as preservation of indigenous cosmology, oral memory, and philosophical understanding — where myth is not fiction, but a way of understanding existence itself.
