CABLE CAR ride Champoluc-Crest (ITALY)

Hello, my friends! If you want to like, comment, share or subscribe I'll be very happy!

With this video I take you with me again in the splendid Valle d'Aosta Region and again in Val d'Ayas as in the previous share of my hike in the high mountains that I invite you to watch, if you wish.
This time we will make an exciting journey by cable car, also called "gondola", departing from the most important and famous location in this valley: Champoluc.
You get to Champoluc by exiting at the Verres motorway tollbooth and then along a panoramic road of unique beauty, often flanked by the tumultuous Evancon stream.
The cable car ride is quite short, about 8-10 minutes, but very steep.
It starts from the 1,582 meters of Champoluc, to arrive at an altitude of 1,979 meters. in Crest.
We will be able to admire the splendid panorama of the Monte Rosa massif all around, an absolutely thrilling spectacle.
I apologize in advance for the imperfect quality of the footage, but visibility was often compromised by the very low sun reflecting light through the glass.
The arrival at Crest is particularly impressive.
Upon arrival we are welcomed by a luxuriant, marvelous plateau which is one of the most important points of the Monte Rosa ski area.
From here there are numerous paths immersed in an incredibly fascinating landscape, or you can go up further with another cable car that leads to Alpe Ostafa at 2,427 meters.
The starting point, Champoluc, is one of the most renowned and famous in the entire Aosta Valley.
Its incredible location, at the foot of the Monte Rosa glacier, makes it a prestigious winter ski resort and its beautiful shops, bars, restaurants make it a welcoming and modern holiday resort perfect in any season of the year.
The splendid Romanesque Church of Sant'Anna, dating back to 1659, located at the very beginning of the city center is of particular interest.
We can then take a quick look at Lake Brusson, which meets along the road to get to Champoluc.
In spring and summer, many come here to enjoy the particular warmth of this area and relax along the banks of this small artificial lake, located at 1,338 meters above sea level and surrounded by a truly wonderful landscape
The name Brusson, from the homonymous town, seems to be linked to the Latin "bruxeum" which means golden and would refer to the veins of gold quartz present in the surrounding mountains, such as the famous Tchamousira mine.

I hope you enjoy my video, dear friends!
