Introduction to International Relations - Emerging International Issues

Lecture 10: International Relations in the Post-Cold War World: Global Integration or Global Inequality?

Introduction: Emerging International Issues after 1992

This lecture introduces IR studies in the Post-Cold War world, beginning in the early 1990s. It notes the end of the Cold War roughly coincides with the Age of Globalization, which provides new challenges to states, new powers to transnational actors, new threats to global security, and new approaches to sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Subsequent videos in this lecture series examines each of these issues in greater specifics.
