Leveling Sled with Router for Wood
Leveling wood in the wood shop can be challenging at times. While I have an 8" Jointer and a 13" planer, there are a number of items I work with that will not fit into either of these tools. I work with a number of live edge rounds or slabs that larger than the tools. I also build End Grain cutting boards and this leveling sled allows me to level these boards much more safely than running them through my surface planer. I made a leveling sled and it worked pretty well for a few years. But I needed one that was more reliable and smoother to work with.
So I turned to Brent Jarvis @cleancutwoodworking https://www.facebook.com/cleancutwoodworking
I added the Triton 3 1/4 HP router, a Infinity Collet bit extension and Amana RC2254 2 cutter carbide tip router bit.
