Barcelo Maya Riviera - A Complete Review

This is a complete review of this resort which has been one of my favorite all inclusive resorts! I respond to all comments and questions! I can't wait to go back! COVID testing can be done onsite - call to confirm ahead of time.

Definitely a 9/10! Loved the layout, quality of beach, pools, food, service and drinks and that it was a brand new and very clean facility. I also loved that we had access to the other resorts next door. ****HOWEVER ONLY ONE OTHER WAS OPEN DURING THIS TIME****

Bring Water Shoes - Beach is rocky in places
Men must wear Long Pants at dinner - NO SHORTS
Purchase or bring insulated cups to keep drinks cold
Ask for a room close to the lobby but on level 4+ for amazing views - GET THE OCEANFRONT!!!! The other side faces the "jungle" and the birds are loud and annoying
No need to do Premium Level at this Resort
Make Reservations for Restaurants at Check In
Bring singles for tipping
Purchase Liquor and Wine at the Duty free for night time cocktails
