Granite Peak: Summiting Montana's Highest Peak in One Day
Granite peak is the highest point in Montana. It's also considered by some to be the second most difficult state high point to summit after Denali. It definitely was challenging but it didn't take 25 hours like the stranger in the the parking lot told me it might. Still, with around 8,400 ft of elevation gain and 24 miles of trail and scramble this peak is no slouch.
