Horse Gulch Fire grows to 7,500 acres, remains 0% contained, pilot who died fighting fire identified

The Horse Gulch Fire has burned to over 7,500 acres and is 0% contained, according to the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.

The fire is located about five miles south of York, and two miles north of Canyon Ferry. Fire behavior is active and is in dense timber with heavy dead and down fuels.

The cause of the fire is labeled as human-caused.
