As a first time soloist at Dance Precisions, Marisa competed in the intermediate division (required for new soloist) for most competitions while some were by age only. She wanted something fun where she could incorporate her acro abilities. Marisa is a natural tumbler who has taken only a weekly tumbling class who loves floor work. She favors hand balancing and contortion practicing almost daily at home.

Next year, Marisa has expressed the desire to have a solo that will be more dramatic. Although she likes lyrical and jazz, she loves contemporary and hopes to story tell through dance.

This was the last time Marisa performed 'I Don't Like to Show Off' and was surprised she won first place overall making her the Starpower National Champion in the region. She had last-minute changes to choreography because the stage was too small to complete her double back handspring. We are very proud to pull through it like a champ!
