China and Japan: Is the AIRBUS-BOEING DUOPOLY in danger? - VisualPolitik EN

The aviation sector is not exactly the most competitive sector in the world. All business is basically split between two giants: Airbus and Boeing. Together, they account for over 90% of aircraft sales worldwide. This is a sector that is also expanding rapidly. Over the next two decades alone, at least 39,000 new planes will be required. We’re starting to see how new companies have already announced plans to enter one of the most complex sectors in the world. Two Asian companies are the main contenders to challenge the crown: China’s COMAC and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan.

In this video we ask: Will these new companies be able to get a foothold? Can they give Boeing and Airbus a run for their money? In this video, we’ll tell you all about the new developments that are happening in the aviation world.
