The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has sought legal action and issued a directive to the Uttar Pradesh government to register an FIR against Darul Uloom Deoband, an Islamic education centre located in Saharanpur, over a fatwa issued by it on its website.

The fatwa validates ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ and allegedly glorifies “martyrdom in the context of India’s invasion”.
