I’m staying in a small kampung (village) on Langkawi at the moment. Although the touristic beach area of Cenang Beach is not far, there are no tourist around the area where I am staying. And there is a kampung night market every thurday just 2 minutes away from my hotel. I’ve been to a few Malaysian night markets already and normally they are really interesting and full with nice food stalls. This one is special, as it’s in this kampung village. So, I am very curious to check out the options of food and the prices here.

When you travel southeast Asia, you will probably end up on some Asian night markets. I really like night markets in Asia. Loved them in Thailand and in Vietnam as well. Always interesting and lots of night foods to find. In the past months most of the night markets were closed, probably all-around southeast Asia. So, since I’ve been to many Asian night markets while traveling southeast Asia, checking out this special one here in a kampung (village) in Malaysia was something I had to do.
