One of The Greatest Punchers Ever

Julian Jackson one of the best middleweight knockout artists of all time. His opponents stood no chance against his explosive punching power and strength. Even through their defenses, his punches felt like being hit with a sledgehammer. And his record speaks for itself with 55 wins, 49 of them by knockout.
Julian Jackson was born on September 12, 1960, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, near Puerto Rico. He grew up in a large family without a father and was mainly raised on the streets with his peers.
Julian frequently got into fights, performed poorly in school, and eventually dropped out of school. He first entered a local gym at the age of 14, following the footsteps of his friend who was into boxing. Initially, Julian only accompanied his friend to training sessions, but he soon fell in love with the sport and stuck with it for life.
An older trainer named William "Willie" George recognized great potential in the young man and told him, "You have talent, you will be a champion," and from then on, he trained Julian individually. Over the years spent in training, Willie became like a father to him. Developing his talent and receiving a solid boxing education from his trainer, young Julian made his debut in the amateur ring. With only seventeen amateur fights (15-2) under his belt, he had the honor of representing his country at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. However, due to the boycott declared by the Soviet Union, the games never took place for Julian. This marked the end of his amateur career. And six months later, under the guidance of William, he turned professional.
