Trailer for Honda Silverwing 600cc Scooter

This is a video showing the process of building a trailer for my Honda Silverwing 600cc Maxi Scooter. 30mm square steel tube, front end from a Vespa modified for the single wheel rear. This gives good reliable high speed operation using an allow wheel designed for highway speeds. The box is a blow mould tuff plastic box used for tools etc.. Lockable and very weather tight. A 5 pin plug is used to run the tail, brake and indicator lights.

Runs true (with the wheel having been 'squared' to the frame off the brake disc). The Vespa front end is off the 300cc model, but the spring is off the 110cc model, so is lighter and more compliant. Other than the weight (acceleration / braking) you don't even know it is there.

The box is the exact same width as the body of the scooter, so it is narrower than the handlebars and thus does not affect the ability to filter through traffic.
