The Subcontracting process in SAP MM (Materials Management) is used when a company sends components to a vendor who performs manufacturing operations and then sends back the finished product. This is commonly used when outsourcing part of the production process.

This defines the components that the subcontractor needs to produce the final product.
✅ 2. Create a Subcontracting Purchase Order

PO Type: Standard PO (NB)

Item Category: L (Subcontracting)

Material: Finished product to be received

Components: Add under Item → Material Data → Components
✅ 3. Transfer Components to Vendor (Subcontracting Stock)

T-code: ME2O (to view subcontracting POs)

T-code: MB1B or MIGO

Movement Type: 541

Moves components from your stock to subcontractor's stock (tracked as special stock 'O')
