Cutting Down a Tree with an Axe

The title pretty much says it all. I was wondering how they used to do it in the old days, so I cut down a tree with my axe. Turned out it wasn't impossible. I think you could drop enough trees to make a small log cabin in about 3 days- by hand.
Oh, and Fiskar's axes rock! I'm really glad I got this one to use in the field!
