If you are visiting Florence and want to enjoy great views of the city, you might decide to visit Piazzale Michelangelo. Piazzale Michelangelo is a square built in 1840. It is located about 1,8km from Duomo on the top of a hill. This is the best place to enjoy the panorama view of the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria del Fiore, the Uffizi Museum, Santa Croce and Palazzo Vecchio. In Piazzale Michelangelo, you can see a copy of Michelangelo's statue of David and copies of statues which were commissioned for the grave of Guilliano and Lorenzo de Medici.
