Buying a $500 VR6! Disaster or Great Deal?

We tear down the $500 VR6 engine we bought to swap the engine in our Scirocco Project. This engine had to be check and refreshed before we put it on a pallet and shipped it to Florida. We found a mountain of issues with it, which added a bunch of hurdles along the way.
