The talk will focus on some fundamental questions like why, for example, is Pakistan such a troubled and troublesome state? Are its problems of recent origin or are they rooted in its very genesis? ? What accounts for Pakistan’s visceral hostility towards India? What are the non-traditional threats that Pakistan faces?

About the Speaker:-
Tilak Devasher is the author of three widely acclaimed books on Pakistan: ‘Pakistan: Courting the Abyss’, (December 2016) ‘Pakistan: At the Helm’ (July 2018), and ‘Pakistan: The Balochistan Conundrum’ (July 2019). He retired as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat Government of India in October 2014. He is currently Member, National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) and Consultant.
