Polyphemus Is The Villain Keeping Grover & The Golden Fleece Captive   Because of Percy and Grover’s empathy link, the two can converse in Percy’s dreams. During the hilarious scene where Grover is wearing a wedding dress, Grover reveals that he’s being held captive by Polyphemus. The cyclops is also in possession of the Golden Fleece, which has the ability to heal anything.  The Golden Fleece also gives off nature magic, which attracts the satyrs looking for Pan. Satyrs are a major food source for cyclopes like Polyphemus. Fortunately, Polyphemus cannot see very well. As such, Grover has managed to stay alive by pretending to be a lady cyclops.
