First Cuyahoga River Freighter of 2018

Yesterday we ventured out on a frigid four degree Cleveland morning hoping to capture the first sunrise of 2018. Clouds scratched that opportunity, but we made lemonade out of lemons when Interlake Steamship Company's Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder backed its way down the Cuyahoga River after an iron ore delivery to ArcelorMittal USA on its way for a refill at The Port of Cleveland's Lake Erie bulk terminal.

The crunching ice and whirling waterfowl provided an audio and visual feast as you can see in our time-lapse vid! Happy New Year!
