About this video:
Writing your teaching objectives each day, especially if you have multiple preps, takes away from other important tasks that you could be doing. I share this teaching strategy based on my years of experience in the classroom that has helped me save time and energy. I wish that this was shared with me during my student teaching experience when talking about lesson plan objectives, or at least included in my "tips for new teachers" checklist during my first year.
You can always write your teaching objectives on chart paper during a period where you have down time (e.g. winter or summer break). You can then laminate them and save for future use. This teaching strategy has saved me so much time and has allowed me to focus on preparing for other instructional activities.
