This is deepface.dev | Face verification API without the GPU infrastructure
deepface.dev is a managed API built on Open-Source DeepFace for face verification, embedding generation, and vector comparison. It gives developers a self-serve way to ship face workflows with clear docs, API keys, privacy controls, and commercially safer model defaults.
We built deepface.dev for developers and teams that need face verification, embedding generation, and vector comparison, but do not want to manage GPU infrastructure, model serving, or the operational mess that comes with it.
Who it’s for:
1. developers building identity, onboarding, fraud, access, or face-matching workflows
2. teams that want an API instead of self-hosting DeepFace
3. builders who care about privacy controls, predictable integration paths, and commercial licensing boundaries
Why we built it:We kept seeing the same problem: teams wanted the power of DeepFace, but not the burden of running and maintaining GPU-backed inference systems themselves. We also found that licensing and model-selection decisions in this space are easy to get wrong. So we wanted to make something self-serve, practical, and explicit about what is and is not safe to use commercially.
