Quilted Hoodie with a “Postage Stamp” Pattern Made from a Vintage Hand Stitched Quilt

Carsyn, my model and social media director, is 5 foot 8 inches tall.

Each piece is made by me personally and I made this pullover from an vintage quilt. All of the quilt stitching was done by hand.

The styling of the hoodie is designed to be oversized creating the option for layering and fitting up to size large. All inside seams are finished/covered with binding fabric. This creates a finished look on the inside of the garment. 

Sizing:
Sleeve length measured from neck edge: 23 inches (with elastic cuffs) 
Back neck edge to hem: 23 inches
Pit to pit: 25 inches – check an item of clothing that fits you well to compare for sizing

Cleaning For Vintage Quilted Coats/Jackets:
I washed the quilt prior to construction.  Because the fabrics in this quilt are many years old. I suggest careful cleaning and NOT dry cleaning as the chemicals are harsh on the fibers. While traveling recently, I ran into a textile maker and learned to wash these vintage/antique fabrics only with detergents made with all natural ingredients such as baking soda and NEVER use bleach. One brand is called “Retrowash.” Although, with all of that said, please wear this vintage quilt coat as I believe they were meant to be used and seen.
