Baby chicks hatching!
A winter hatch this time, yet we had an excellent fertility rate! All 14 eggs were fertile, but we discovered that two had stopped developing at 18 days.
The yellow and black chicks are australorp cross light sussex. The creamy-brown ones are from out golden legbar hen with the light sussex roo. These are sexlinks, similar to purebred legbars. The girls have a dark arrow shape on their head, and the boys have a white head.
