MORE INFORMATION:

- YOU MUST write a name in the GTA Connected menu under Tools - Launcher Settings - and then name.

- Your GTA IV directory should NOT be in "Program Files (x86)" or "Program Files" as that can cause many issues. Just simply drag and drop the folder elsewhere.

- 1:04 not exactly true but after following these steps it will remove its reliance on Steam.

- Some people are reporting their saves breaking! I don't believe they are corrupted, however, I don't have much information - I'd guess it's probably just single player not working. If you're afraid of that happening then back them up. You can find your saves in your C drive - Documents - Rockstar Games - GTA IV - savegames.
