This unit can help prevent you from over-discharging your lead-acid battery which may lead to damaging sulphation which can reduce your batteries ability to hold a charge. Automatically shutting off any loads when your battery voltage reaches a certain threshold will help protect the battery and will automatically turn your loads back on once a charging voltage is seen.
