International experts name Gazprom Neft’s Novy Port project as the best in the oil and gas industry

Gazprom Neft’s Arctic asset – the Novoportovskoye field – has been named the winner at the 2020 International Petroleum Technology Conference’s (IPTC) Excellence in Project Integration award. Held to promote new knowledge and achievements in industry research and development, this conference is the most important oil and gas industry event in the eastern hemisphere. The event has been held for the last 15 years in various countries throughout the Middle East and Asia–Pacific regions, with 2020 delegates meeting in Dhahran (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). With international experts having assessed a total 17 projects from nine countries worldwide, the Novy Port project was among the three finalists for the award, together with Total’s Kaombo project and PETRONAS’ Petronas FLNG SATU. Gazprom Neft’s Arctic asset was ranked highly by the professional community for unique achievements in managing and overseeing an integrated oil and gas project.
