Majestic fjords, waterfalls, glaciers all combine to make arguably the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the world. This tour has it all.

After an overnight ferry from Harwich to Holland we ride through Holland and cross the whole of Germany to the Danish border. We then ride the whole length of Denmark, and take the ferry to Norway to begin our tour of Scandinavia in earnest. Following the western coastline of Norway we sweep from dizzying mountain heights down into spectacular glacier carved deep fjords and cross them by ferry, tunnel or bridge to climb the opposite side and back into the sunshine.

After passing through the longest road tunnel in the world, we visit the UNESCO world heritage site at Geirangerfjord with its spectacular waterfalls, then climb the Eagles Road and the awesome ‘ Ladder of the Trolls road. Time is built into the schedule for exploring this marvellous costal area of Norway, riding some “secret roads” and visiting a glacier. Heading ever northwards we then ride the iconic Atlantic Road which was constructed by traversing the Atlantic Ocean with bridges and tunnels between numerous small islands and skerries.

After two more days heading north we arrive in Mo-i-Rana, our base for two nights, to prepare for the final push over the 66° 34’ circle which defines the edge of the fabled land of the midnight sun. A visit to one of the glaciers which carved the fjords and to the Arctic Circle raceway (the most northerly racetrack in the world) are also on the agenda.

Heading east we cross into Sweden and then ride south, down towards more temperate climes, through the pine forests and past the lakes and meadows that define this beautiful country. Travelling almost the whole length of Sweden we pass Gothenburg and cross back to Denmark to make our way through Germany and Holland to the ferry from the Hook of Holland to Harwich.

We avoid the motorways and there are no endless 300 and 400 mile days, we ride through national parks and stay in both traditional and modern hotels along the way. This trip is all about taking your time and experiencing the places you ride through. Riders don’t need to fear the extortionate Norwegian prices for food as we include 9 evening meals on this tour and all your breakfasts in the Hotels too. This truly is a once in a lifetime trip and with 4 rest/rideout days planned you’ll have all the time in the world to enjoy it!
