America's First Guru is a new film by Raja Choudhury that tells the story of an unknown Indian monk, Swami Vivekananda, who arrived in America in 1893 at the First World's Parliament of Religions and single-handedly revolutionized American spirituality, religion, and culture by bringing Yoga, Vedanta, Hinduism, and interfaith Dialogue into the popular American conversation. He traveled across the US for the next 6 years and became America's First Guru.
