Enhancing the resilience of displaced communities in Maarat Misrin and Sharan, northwest Syria
Over two million internally displaced people (IDPs) in northwest Syria are struggling to meet their basic needs due to rising food prices and decreasing purchasing power. In response, Hand in Hand for Aid and Development, in collaboration with the Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), launched a livelihood enhancement project in 14 camps located in the Maarat Misrin and Sharan areas.
The project provides cash assistance, including $150 for heating needs and five rounds of $65 each for food purchases. Additionally, roads in these camps have been rehabilitated, paved, and illuminated, improving access to essential services and enhancing residents' safety.
This initiative has positively impacted on 1,311 families, helping them better cope with the difficult conditions they face.
