Northeast Delhi Riots: Four Years on, Trial of 18 Booked Under UAPA Yet to Begin | The Quint

Four years ago, in February 2020, Northeast Delhi witnessed the worst communal clashes in the national capital in decades, killing 53 people and injuring hundreds. Over 18 accused were then booked by the Delhi Police under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Of them, six are out on jail, while the 12 are still lodged behind bars, with their trials yet to begin.
