Sailors' Old Windproof Lighter Restoration
Old rusty rope lighter restoration. I found this old rusty lighter with a metal detector in a WW1 German trench. I like the simplicity of the design and the reliability of the rope lighter. The rope lighter was used by sailors and soldiers in the trenches of the First World War. The lighter was broken and very rusty. I decided to restore the lighter. I removed the rust, made new parts and nickel plated it. Now the lighter works. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.
