In this talk, he introduces a new pattern called "applicative sidekicks". These are specialized PHP workers that listen to their environment and reconfigure the application in real time: handling tasks like Redis Sentinel discovery, secret rotation, dynamic feature flags, and targeted cache invalidation, without the need for polling or redeployments.
