Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson - Interview with Tony Succar

Novelty for Colombia, laplena.co communicated via skype with Tony Succar, who very kindly gave a one hour interview to tell details about the creation process of UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson, a dream come reality.

With Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson, Tony Succar presents Tito Nieves, Jon Secada, India, Kevin Ceballo, Jean Rodriguez, Obie Bermudez, Jennifer Pena and Michael Stuart, among more than 100 musicians, and the magical Mix Engineer of Michael Jackson, the legendary Bruce Swedien.

Driven by his tireless commitment, quiet determination and passionate faith in the message of love behind the Michael Jackson's music, Tony Succar has spent the last five years creating the album UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson.

The result is the unforgettable songs of Pop and R & B as Thriller. Billie Jean and I Want You Back mixed with salsa and tropical rhythms, creating innovative sounds that give new life and energy to these Michael Jackson's classics. UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson will be available on April 14 thanks to Universal Music Classics in collaboration with Universal Music Latin Entertainment.

UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson personifies the spirit of Michael Jackson, uniting cultures through music. "The common denominator in the music of Michael Jackson was love, the reality is unity," said Tony Succar. "I wanted the title meant something, a marriage between American Pop and Latin roots making the legacy of Michael Jackson alive."

UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson was born a Halloween night when Tony Succar made an arrangement Thriller success using salsa rhythms for an event at the Lincoln Road Mall in Miami. The reaction was so positive and overwhelming that soon record (in his room!) a new version with his band, he rose to networks and gave copies. UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson has the support of the same engineer who worked with Michael Jackson, the lengendary Bruce Swedien, who mixed two songs: Earth Song and Smooth Criminal, on the same console Harrison 32C model, where he mixed Thriller.

The Grammy winner Carlos Alvarez was the engineer of the rest of the disc.
