Introduction to the Kerguelen Islands

In 2016, OTN and the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique began collaborating on a study to understand the successful colonization of brown trout in an isolated archipelago known as the Kerguelen Islands.

This project presents a unique opportunity to study large-scale colonization by a non-native species in the context of climate change and glacial retreat while highlighting some of the planet's wild and remote landscapes.
