Golden Spike Ceremony HD 1080p

Take a trip to promontory, Utah, to see a reenactment of the Golden Spike Ceremony from May 10, 1869, which celebrates the joining of the rails of the first transcontinental railroad. Leland Stanford drove in the 17.6-karat gold final spike. After the ceremonial tap, a final iron spike was driven in to connect the railroads.
