Mataking and Sipadan Island Dive Trip (Jan-2019)

Full video of our 5D4N scuba diving trip to Mataking and Sipadan Island (Sabah, Malaysia)(Jan-2019).

It had been a wonderful 5D4N trip to Mataking Island (The Reef Resort). An all-inclusive resort, Mataking is a small yet really beautiful island. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The restaurant serves a wide spread of delicious local/international cuisines. Crystal clear beach lies on all sides of the island. And most importantly, excellent dive sites are just off or within close proximity from the island. Perfect for a dive trip or those romantic getaways. =P

Sipadan is consistently ranked as one of the top dive sites in the world. It is famed for its population of turtles, schools of barracuda in tornado-like formations and plenty of bumphead parrotfish. Around the island, there are steep walls, with drop-offs of ~700m. So if you drop anything here, you can say goodbye to it. A permit is required for visit, with a daily limit of 120 divers allowed.

-Magic Rock, Mataking Island
