CIA Dir John Brennan, John Durham, Steve Bannon and Bill Barr's Bogus October Surprise

Barr has been on a witch hunt in his near-ending quest to undermine the origins of the Trump Russia investigation. Never mind that the Mueller investigation proved the propriety of the Trump/Russia investigation, as did several congressional probs and the exhaustive investigation by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Now, former CIA Director John Brennan was interviewed for eight hours by Bill Barr's hand-picked US Attorney John Brennan. Importantly, Brennan was told he is neither a target nor a subject of Durham's investigations, leading to the conclusion that he did nothing wrong as director of the CIA at the time the Trump/Russia investigation was over.

Sadly, regardless of the actual findings and conclusions of the Durham probe, Barr is likely to "spin" and "mischaracterize" the results come January in an effort to help Trump and hurt Biden, just as Judge Reggie Walton found found that Barr spun and mischaracterized the Mueller report.

Also new this week, the indictment and arrest of Steve Bannon by the SDNY US Attorney's Office puts Barr's firing of US Attorney Geoffrey Bermon in a new light. Did Barr fire Berman in an attempt to shut down the Bannon investigation the way Barr assisted Roger Stone and Mike Flynn after pulling the top prosecutor, Jesse Liu, from the top spot in the DC US Attorney's office?. Bill Barr's web of corruption is as tangled as webs come.
