Abraham Benjamin de Villiers was born on 17 February 1984 in Warmbad, Transvaal Province, South Africa. His father Abraham B de Villiers. His mother's name is Millie de Villiers. He has two elder brothers Jan de Villiers and Wessels de Villiers.

He married Danielle Swart on 30 March 2013, in Bela-Bela, South Africa. They have two sons Abraham de Villiers & John Richard de Villiers. Villiers Has a daughter Yente de Villiers.
