First episode of Spectrum talk show series, "Talk Of The Desert" taped at Desert C.A.M. Studios on their La Quinta TV stage, starring television Host Melinda Read. Ava Astaire, daughter of Fred Astaire, is the guest, along with her husband, Irish painter and author, Richard McKenzie, who has since passed away. Chip Miller directed, co-edited, and produced with Travis Miller. The late, great Frankie Randall performs the theme song. Show features first airings of promo spots for the hit PBS Television special, "Rhythm of the Dance," also directed by Miller for his Desert C.A.M. Studios production company in Palm Desert and Burbank, CA.
