‘Doctors' strikes are unjustified!’ | Starmer CALLS OUT strike action amid increase in ‘super flu’

During PMQs today , Labour MP for Ashford Sojan Joseph asks the prime minister if he agrees that the BMA should call off their next planned doctor’s strike due to rising cases of flu and increased demand on A&E services.

So-called ‘super flu' refers to the illness that seems to be hitting harder and lasting for longer than expected.

In fact this year’s flu season even started a month earlier than normal, while a drifted influenza A(H3N2) strain – also known as subclade K – is currently dominating cases in England, according to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
