Sudan's civilian leaders arrested amid military coup reports - BBC News

Members of Sudan's transitional government, including Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, have been arrested amid reports of a military coup.

Hamdok is among those reported to have been put under house arrest by unidentified soldiers.

Pro-democracy protesters have taken to the streets of the capital, Khartoum.

The transitional government was set up two years ago when long-time ruler Omar al-Bashir was overthrown.
