In just two weeks, Zombies fans around the world will get their hands on the first chapter of the Dark Aether story in “Die Maschine” on November 13th. At the official Zombies Reveal in September, we laid out all the ways we’re bringing classic Zombies gameplay elements to Black Ops Cold War, including the return of the Pack-a-Punch machine, Wall Buys, Mystery Box, Perk machine jingles, the iconic Ray Gun, and more. We’re also delivering a whole slate of gameplay innovations that work seamlessly together to make this year’s offering our most compelling and replayable Zombies experience yet. And we know you’ve got questions about how all of it actually works in-game, and fortunately, we know a few people in a certain Zombies Design department who can help with that. Let’s get into it. In pure Black Ops style, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fuses elements of 1980s pop culture through a mind-bending conspiracy story, where deception and subterfuge are the norm in the gripping single-player Campaign. In this sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, players encounter historic figures and learn hard truths as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet-era Moscow, and more. As elite operatives, players attempt to stop a plot decades in the making as they follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus, who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history. Beyond the Campaign, players will bring a wide selection of Cold War weapons and equipment into the next generation of Multiplayer combat and an all-new Zombies experience. Uncover dark Cold War experiments that unleash a new Zombie threat to take on in frightening and intense co-operative gameplay with friends.
