$1.6B Moynihan Train Hall Opens in Manhattan
The new Moynihan Train Hall, named after the late Senator Patrick Moynihan, was officially opened on January 1st, 2021. Senator Moynihan advocated redevelopment of the Farley Post Office building as a train station on par with the original Penn Station that was demolished in 1963. The station will provide direct access to Amtrak and the Long Island Railroad and reduce congestion for Penn Station.
