Alligator hunt is an arcade game for 1 or 2 player released by Gaelco in 1994. The game is essentially an on rails 2D crosshair shooter, if that is even a genre. The gameplay is nice and simple. Shoot the enemies, collect the bonuses and avoid enemy fire. Though simple enough to pick up and play the game become fiendishly difficult from the 2nd stage onwards and conserving your missiles for the bosses becomes essential. An beautiful 2D shooter and a true hidden gem for the Evercade.
